A strong foundation, sturdy walls, and a well-built roof ensure your home remains sturdy and secure for years to come. Similarly, your teeth, gums, and jaw provide essential support for your oral health. When they’re compromised by decay, disease, or injury, everyday functions like biting, chewing, and smiling become difficult. Just as a house can collapse when its foundation cracks or walls fail, weakened dental structures can impact your overall well-being. In some cases, rebuilding from the ground up is the best path forward. That’s where full mouth dental implants come in. Replacing missing or damaged teeth with durable, permanent implants creates a lasting foundation for a strong, healthy smile!
What Are Full Mouth Implants?
Full mouth implants are a comprehensive dental procedure that uses dental implants to replace an entire arch of teeth. Dr. Rick Miller strategically places dental implants into your jawbone, providing a stable and long-lasting foundation for a full-arch prosthetic.
Dental implants are durable titanium posts that correct a variety of issues. The biocompatible implants fuse with your jawbone through osseointegration—a natural process that allows the implant to act as an artificial tooth root. By mimicking the function of your natural roots, implants stimulate your jawbone, preventing bone loss. As a result, they maintain your facial structure and prevent functional issues.
In addition to preventing jawbone loss, dental implants improve essential functions like speaking and eating. Unlike traditional dentures, which can shift or slip, implants securely anchor false teeth to the jawbone. This stability allows for clearer speech and a stronger, more natural biting force, making it easier to enjoy a variety of foods with confidence!
Beyond functionality, dental implants are built for longevity. Studies show they have a high success rate of 97% over 10 years, making them one of the most reliable tooth replacement options available!
Traditional Implants vs. Mini Implants
For full arch implants, we can use conventional implants or mini dental implants to support your prosthesis.
Traditional dental implants vary in size, but they average 5 mm wide. While strong and durable, they are more invasive than other options, like mini dental implants. Roughly the width of a toothpick, mini implants are about half the size of their traditional counterpart. As a result, they require less space in the jawbone, which is perfect for patients with bone loss. Plus, placing them is less invasive and less painful. While both implant types provide a strong foundation for false teeth, mini implants offer additional benefits that make them a great choice for many patients. For example, they heal faster, require fewer follow-up visits, and cost less than traditional implants.

Full Mouth Implant Options
The following implant systems were designed to replace a complete arch of teeth. However, they differ in the number and type of implants used.
All-on-4
The All-on-4 dental implant system uses four traditional dental implants to secure an arch of false teeth. Two vertical implants are inserted in the front of the jaw, where bone density is typically higher, and two additional implants are angled at the back. This setup improves stability while avoiding anatomical obstacles. This option provides a secure, long-lasting alternative to conventional dentures.
All-on-6
All-on-6 is a full-arch tooth replacement option that uses six dental implants. It uses a similar technique as All-on-4 but provides two additional implants for increased stability and strength.
While options like All-on-4 or All-on-6 provide a stable foundation for your jawbone, they’re not always ideal because they rely on traditional implants, which can be more painful and expensive than mini implants.
A great option for patients with lower bone density or those seeking a quicker, more affordable solution is Fix-on-Six®—an excellent alternative to All-on-6.
Fix-on-Six

With the Fix-on-Six system, Dr. Miller uses 6 to 10 mini dental implants to secure a roundhouse bridge. This minimally invasive procedure stabilizes your false teeth so you can easily eat and speak without hesitation! The roundhouse bridge is considered semi-removable since only Dr. Miller will remove it during your routine cleanings.
If you want a more permanent solution, we recommend a non-removable roundhouse bridge. This option never had to be removed, even by Dr. Miller. Instead, he permanently cements it onto 10-12 mini dental implants, providing maximum stability and functionality!
